the harvest

For us, harvesting pollen and bee bread is a real moment of connection with nature. We have the utmost respect for our bees, so we take it easy.

For pollen, we use super discreet pollen traps at the entrance to the hives. That way, our little foragers can get on with their work without stress. And when it’s time to harvest, we do it gently, taking only a little from each hive so as not to disturb our hard-working bees too much.

Bee bread is like their larder. We take just enough so that they don’t starve, always leaving enough for them to get through the winter in peace.

Our pollen

Fresh, soft pollen can be added to yoghurt, compote or fruit juice; dry, crunchier pollen can be sprinkled on salads or muesli.

Our bee bread

Bee bread is a mixture of pollen pellets, honey and lactic ferments that serves as a basic food for the larvae of social and solitary bees, bumblebees and other Apoidea.
