Collection and sorting
The first step is to collect used cork products and sort them according to quality. Good quality products can be reused as they are, while damaged or inferior products will be directed to other recycling processes.
Grinding and treatment
The cork products are then ground into small pieces or granulated. This process makes it easier to further process and transform the cork into new products.
The cork granules are treated to remove any impurities and obtain a clean, homogeneous material. They can be subjected to cleaning and disinfection processes to guarantee their quality.
Processing and use
Once processed, cork granules can be used to make a variety of new products. Here, they will be used to make cases for jars of royal jelly.
